On the nose beautiful complexity and intensity. Ripe apple, lilac, and a hint of pepper. The palate has a very smooth attack, nice roundness and sweetness. The balance of apple, flower, and spice is present in a lovely volume. The finish has a nice length, marked by softness and fruitiness. Slight bitterness. Aged in Limousin oak barrels, it features delicate woody notes. It brings to mind an apple pie just out of the oven, with subtle caramel aromas rising from it.
