Château Poujeaux 2016 - Moulis-en-Médoc

Displaying a medium garnet-purple hue, the 2016 Poujeaux offers aromas of fried herbs, tar, and earth, along with baked plums and a hint of minerality. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a firm, chewy texture and herbal notes. Château Poujeaux is a red wine made from a 68-hectare vineyard in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation. The vines, averaging 35 years in age, thrive in soils made up of Günzian gravel from the Garonne River. The wine undergoes aging in barrels for 12 months, with 30% of the barrels being new.

Store bottles on their side

Storing bottles horizontally keeps the cork in constant contact with the wine, preventing it from drying out and ensuring a proper seal over time.

Keep in a cool, stable environment

A steady, cool temperature helps wines age gracefully. Avoid fluctuations, as they can disturb the wine’s balance and long-term quality.

Away from light and heat

Protect bottles from direct light and excessive warmth, both of which can accelerate aging and alter the wine’s aromas and structure.
