Powerful and complex nose of ripe black fruits (blackberry and blackcurrant), spices (liquorice and pepper), garrigue (rosemary), leather, cocoa, menthol. Mouth is also powerful and full-bodied with round tannins. A very smooth wine with a beautiful length. Probably one of theh most accomplished blend of Syrah/Grenache/Cabernet-Sauvignon/Carignan/Marselan/Mourvèdre from the south of France.
Aging: +1/+6 years.
Pairing: Rabbit with prunes, Ham, Ribs, Vils, or for dessert with a blueberry pie.

“La Montée de St Ruble” is a great terroir. Marly soils usually yield round, rich wines, but due to this slope's north-western exposure, the resulting wine is fresh with good acidity and boasts lovely ripe fruit. The nose is redolent of ripe grapefruit, pear and white blossom. The palate is very refined and has an electrifying saline/mineral character that is beautifully taut and expertly balanced by the lovely weight of bright citrus and softly herbal fruit. Definitely a must.
